Verdi
Verdi
Two-time finalist at the World Championships for young show jumpers in Lanaken
Verdi's pedigree is well bred with a direct combination of the genius sire, Quidam de Revel, and a full sister of the dam of Calato, who sired a masterpiece with Christian Ahlmann's championship horse, Cöster. Verdi easily lived up to the expectations his pedigree indicated, taking 7th place in the Final of the World Championships for young show jumpers in 2007 as well as 2008. I
n the 2007 Final, after four clear rounds, he was the most successful stallion, and with 5th place in the stallion competition of s’Hertogenbosch in 2008, he had been ridden through 25 courses without knocking down a single rail. With that record, his willingness to perform was proved most impressively. Born with excellent type, Verdi not only has enormous ability and an ideal technique over the jump, he is also blessed with very good gaits. Together with his well-adjusted and amiable character, Verdi is a jumper stallion with a bright future.
His sire, Quidam de Revel, successfully competed in big time sport for many years, won team bronze at the 1992 Olympic Games. Ten years later, his impressive record in breeding became obvious: At the World Championships in Jerez, ten of his offspring participated, including the team gold winner, Dollar de la Pierre. As a millionaire sire, Landgraf I, has become a monument. In the third generation you find the movement-maker, Calypso I. Verdi comes from the Holstein line 474-a which produced not only Calato but also the licensed stallions Loxgraf Go, Aldato, Cicero, Nimrod and Colombo.
Verdi's first foals have long lines, a radiance that is striking and an energetic step-off.
Verdi does not have a chestnut factor!
