The year 2009 became a major breakthrough for Blue Hors Romanov as a breeding sire with top results echoing worldwide:
Sire of the gold medal stallion and licensing champion Blue Hors Rosoff, sire of the 5 year-old world champion Hønnerups Driver and sire of Skovens Rafael placed 7th at the world championships in Verden. At the Oldenburger elite mare show in Rastede three of the Top Six mares were by Romanov: 1-b, 1-d and 1-f! At the Danish suitability tests for 4 year-olds Blue Hors Romanov is the sire of the nationwide No. 1, 2, 3, and 5!
Blue Hors Romanov continues to excel in the dressage arena.

There's no question about his performance – Romanov's career is simply astonishing. After winning the Danish licensing and stallion performance test and then dominating the Danish Championships three years in a row in the class for four, five and six year olds, Romanov turned his first entry in a Grand Prix class into victory. The award of the VTV Dressage Stallion of the Year 2008 title in Vechta was well deserved.

Romanov is also setting himself at center stage with increasing frequency because of his strong moving offspring. Two further sons were licensed in Denmark in 2008, one of which was Blue Hors Rosoff (Gallery), and his son Skovens Rafael (Gallery) took second place in the Danish Championships for riding horses in Herning. He had been the most expensive young Danish stallion at the 2007 licensing, changing hands for 160,000 Euros. Two sons were also licensed in Oldenburg that year and Romanov's daughter, Romera K, became the Champion Mare in Denmark. Romanov was also represented in the Final of the 2008 German Foal Championships – and he sent five sons to the Danish licensing in 2009.

Without exaggerating, Romanov comes from one of the most successful dam lines in the world – known for a large number of absolutely top horses such as the cource ace, Couleur Rubin/Ludger Beerbaum, the Reserve Champion Stallion and Vice Bundeschampion, Conterno Grande/Marco Kutscher, the advanced (S) level winning Gio Granno and the Oldenburg State Champion, Couleur Rouge. His dam, the Elite Mare Rumirell, managed the feat of producing five licensed full brothers, including Romanov and the Grand Prix winner, Rubin Royal. His sire, Rohdiamant, also won Grand Prix and sired numerous top horses.
