Sire of high priced offspring - Elite stallion Denmark

Don Romantic was rightly appointed elite stallion in 2009. His offspring influence the picture of gradings, licensings, performance tests and young horse championships – not only in Denmark but all over Europe. During 2009 his progeny have been predominant:

At the stallion lincensing in Herning three sons were approved and two of them as premium stallions. Don Romantic was sire of the most expensive stallion at the elite auction sold to the Netherlands for 1 million dkk. At five regional saddle gradings in Denmark during the summer the champion mare was by Don Romantic! At the elite mare show at Vilhelmsborg two of his daughters were awarded gold medal. At the world championships for young dressage horses in Verden Denmark was represented by the 5 year-old Don Romantic daughter Karina Lihmskov who won the small final and thereby qualified for the final.

With three Grand Prix winning stallions in a row in his pedigree, Don Romantic has become a guarantee for dressage. His offspring are highly coveted: In 2008, the Champion Filly of the Hanoverian Foal Championships was sold on the occasion of the World Championships for 20,000 Euros. At the Vechta Elite Foal Auction, Daktylius (Gallery) had the highest price tag of 50,000 Euros and Dollinger was knocked-down for 25,000 Euros.  The licensed stallion Dragento (Gallery) sold for 70,000 Euros at the Oldenburg Elite Auction in fall. Don Romantic's son Develino has already sired a licensing and a stallion performance test winner who received a 9.5 for his canter and a 9.0 for his trot. 

His sire, Don Schufro, led the German FN's estimated breeding value statistics seven times in a row and won team bronze at the Olympic Games in 2008. He continuously sires top performance horses such as the Grand Prix winners, Diamond Hit and Donna Asana/Lone Jörgensen. The dam's sire, Romancier, adds rideability through Rubinstein's sire, Rosenkavalier and also won international Grand Prix, just like the Thoroughbred stallion Mago xx, who was a member of the Danish World Championship team in 1994. Don Romantic's dam line is also the origin of the European and World Championship finalist, Supermax Ravel.

Don Romantic was the radiant winner of his licensing and undisputedly the best stallion at his performance test, receiving the highest possible score of 10.0 for rideability and his canter. When he was four years old, the Danish Verband awarded him a gold medal – a medal only given twice before. The victor in the Final in the class for four-year olds in Vilhelmsburg, he quickly learned the collected movements before his career in sport came to an end because of an injury.
