The basis for raising horses needs to be just right: the right conditions for raising is the key to a successful career in sport or breeding.

Hengststation Kathmann offers ideal conditions for raising your youngsters. From spring to fall, youngsters enjoy their freedom in a herd on large, nutritious pastures in the luscious green marshlands of the Wesermarsh region where the air is fresh and clean. Conscientiously checked every day, these youngsters find ideal conditions to grow and develop their bones and muscles.

During the winter months they are kept in large loose stalls at the stallion station. We've even carried out alterations to improve conditions and now, most of the loose stalls for youngsters have adjoining paddocks with good footing.

This ensures that your filly or colt has the best conditions for optimal development. Mineral supplements as well as health management that includes worming, taking care of their feet and vaccinations according to their needs are all a part of the standard regimen at Hengststation Kathmann. But even when this phase if over, we are still there for you: we can prepare your young stallion for licensing or your mare for broodmare shows and will also gently break in your youngsters.
